Experienced Outdoorsman/Noob hunter
« on: August 08, 2016, 04:04:13 PM »
Hi I'm looking for a hunting partner. I live in Georgetown Seattle and I am planning on scouting/hunting western Washington for small game and black tailed deer. I have all my own supplies i.e. truck, Mossberg 500, gear, etc. Very 420 friendly/beer friendly though I take weapons and wilderness safety very seriously. I have a ton of outdoors and weapons skills but have never been hunting. I took the hunters ed course and have the field evaluation tomorrow. All my friends are Seattle socialites so not sure where to find someone to hunt with but would be awesome to have someone in the field with me. My schedule is off every wed and every other tue-wed. I can add Mondays sometimes so at times can be in the field from Sunday evening to Wednesday evening.

I"m up in Fremont and am in the same boat. Got a few friends who are considering it but no firm commitments but I'm planning on hitting GMU 667 to open deer season. And heading to Eastern WA to look for bunnies at the start of rabbit season.

Drop me a PM and let's meet up for a beer, smoke, and conversation, maybe go out scouting together before the seasons start...

Ok newbies my camp is always looking for new blood.

But the question has to be asked. We have to get the dirty deed settled.

Hey all, am also in similar vote. I use to hunt years ago on my family's farm in NY, which essentially meant quietly putting the rifle out the kitchen window. I am highly interested in backcountry, high mountain hunts. I love back country and mountaineering. I often like doing things alone, but I also understand the value of hunting in teams for success.
I have all of my entry gear except for good glass. I have my big game package with small as well. I am super interested in taking bear. I am going on a first scout/gear shake trip in October, but will be looking for several day/overnight scouting/small game trips. Looking to go out to several known spots, but trying to figure out where to get away from the weekend warrior outdoorsy people. I hear they make bad backstops.  :roll eyes: no politic talk here, there isn't a decent candidate anyhow...

More or less the same boat. I used to be a wildland firefighter and have spent a lot of time in the woods. Just never picked up hunting, had the itch, but never the community. Looking to get back out in the woods and harvest my own meat. Live in north Seattle.

Hey guys I'm Rudy. I mostly bow hunt now but I have a multi season tag this year so I'm down for a meet and great and possibly make plans for camp/hunt. But to let you know I'm still pretty new to hunting (3rd season) and consider myself and open minded conservative voting Gary Johnson. I hope that doesn't put you guys off lol
