I thought I read somewhere that Vortex used 1/2 moa clicks was so you could dial faster than 1/4. I personally never had a problem with the 1/2 clicks from mine.

That's my understanding of it. I had one for a short period and it was a solid scope for the money. I'm not a Vortex hater but I've never felt that they were any better or worse than anything else in their price bracket. I still have one 4-16 PST that I don't love but I certainly don't hate it. It does it's job well enough to stay on the gun for now, so I can't complain.

Just saw this thread. What gun are you shooting it with? I have a Howa 308 and am wanting to put the Viper HS-T 4-16x44. How are the turrets working for you? Are you going to get custom turrets made for your load?  Thanks!

I'm shooting a howa 300 win mag, ha my even thought of the custom turrets yet. But holds a zero well! Turrets are awesome but be careful putting the gun on your back always remember where your turrets are or put a piece of tape on them, when I went hunting I noticed when I put my gun on my back to climb a mtn that was straight up when I got to the top my windage was moved.
