Just listened this morning great podcast and a great topic. Just another reason for predator control. Saving the caribou might be a way to get a foot in the door for wolf control.

Just gave it a listen as well. I had no idea our state had caribou in it with any sort of regularity.

Great podcast episode. I am definitely one of the people that is guilty of forgetting about caribou down here.

Interesting point about how the environmental factors/logging practices that lead to moose proliferation have also allowed wolves to bridge the gap and come in contact with caribou in a way they may not have in the past. Not totally sure what that means in the big picture of things, but I think it may be reasonable to conclude that at least in this situation a 2016 wolf is a different animal than a 1716 wolf.

I've always thought it Ironic that wdfw is excited about caribou recovery, but refuses to properly manage predators in those very areas.
