Pearrygin unit 224 2nd deer tag October 15-25
« on: August 20, 2016, 08:02:51 AM »
I will be scouting this area in September. I have been reading there are a lot more Mule deer then white tails. Is there a certain area I should focus on that has a better number of white tails then make deers? I know it's open to hunt mule and white tail bucks also at thus time thanks.

You'll find whitetails down along the Methow river. Not a lot of public access but is possible to find a spots.

Are you looking for whitetail specifically?

I believe the 2nd Deer Tags are whitetail antlerless only.
I hunt, therefore I am.... I fish, therefore I lie.

I actually know some great whitetail areas over there with ample opportunity for disabled hunters... I'm not opposed to sending you in a great direction... Just don't really want to send EVERYONE! I've gotten some great advice on this forum and I always look for ways to pay it forward. My boy and I will be going over several times in the next few months for bear/deer scouting and the last weekend of Modern for deer.

Yeah we applied for the key out there but didn't get it. He drew late deer Sherwood forest deer 65plus gmu 633. Hoping we won't need to use it. I never give up information. I will probably never hunt out there again. Only reason is cause of 2nd tag. I should be in that gmu the weekend of the 10th if all goes.as planned.
