Im in the woods! Two cow calls and one sounded off immediately. 

I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

I was out all weekend in goose prairie didn't hear anything but the coyotes at night... it was super warm tho daytime and evening
be careful going in search of adventure its ridiculously easy to find.

Heard multiple bugles on 7/22, but was out yesterday and only heard cows talking.

Question:  Are you guys out there calling right now?  Pretty stupid idea to call before season IMO.  This time of year especially they may come in silently an hour after you called, and if they smell you you've just educated another elk.    :twocents:

Most of the activity that I'm picking up on Cams is between 11:00pm and 2:00am.  Maybe they are bugling in the middle of night.

I agree with his statement that calling this time of year is stupid and educates the elk.

Obviously on private property OR public you can do all the calling you want year round.

Are these elk high fenced on this property or could they visit public ground???

My cousins drive all around this time of year in the Yakima, Elensburg, Wenatchee areas buguling in elk. They said its been lights out action!!!!! Then its off to Idaho to hunt uneducated elks...... :chuckle:

go up reecer and watch all the eburg guys call elk out there window . theres a big difference in locating bulls and calling them in .....
