Bethel Ridge Quality Bull - Rifle/ With Story & Pics
« on: August 25, 2016, 07:28:25 AM »
Finally inside the 30 days to go mark for my Bethel Quality Rifle Tag. We have a couple of camera in an area we know well, plus we have cams in another area that is holding some animals. Will check the cards on Labor Day to see what the quality of the bulls are in the new area. The wife thinks I am in pre-rut right now  :chuckle:  , I think the Phelps “Green Hornet” cow call is getting to her last nerve. Having hunted elk since 1970, this is the first time to ever get the chance to bugle one in and have a rifle in my hands. Pretty sure it will be a game changer to have the .300 Weatherby “Boom Stick”.  Still need a few more evenings of practicing with the bugle, I have moved that to the shop so the dogs can get a break.

Good luck. I will be up there this weekend with my buddy that drew the tag also.

Planning on being in there Labor Day weekend, and then at least one day of each weekend after that. We have 4 cameras spread out to see what is in the areas we know should have some bulls. We have a couple of nice 6X6 on camera in an area we know well.

You have my cel

If you get one down in the nasty, I might be able to grab a son or two and bolt over.
