Seven Bays - Lake Roosevelt
« on: August 26, 2016, 06:40:30 AM »
Anyone been in the Hawk Creek / Seven Bays area lately?  Last time I was at Hawk Creek the boat launch was closed.  Is Lincoln the next best launch?  Taking the wife, kids, BIL, and friends out to play and fish.  Are there still fish to catch around Hawk Creek?  No downriggers this time, plunking or light trolling would be best.   :)  Just looking for a report if you have one.  THANKS!  :hello:

I was out there last week, fishing for walleye.  Trolling bottom walker slow death rigs.  Very few walleye but we caught a lot of smallmouth.  Some really small ones and a couple decent ones.  West side closer to Lincoln.

Right wing shooter, I aim for the left!!!

Nowhere in your incoherent rambling did you come close to what can be considered a rational thought. Everyone is now dumber having heard it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

water was REALLY silty this weekend!  First time I've been to Roosevelt and standing hip deep in water not able to see your feet  :yike:!  Launched at Lincoln around 7:30 and motored over to Hawk creek.  Took everyone into the canyon see it for the first time.  Then trolled our way out, snagging a couple smallmouth and one 10" walleye.  Beached the boat so the kids could play in the sand and water and caught some more small mouth in the inlet to Hawk Creek.  Spent our day doing that, beach to beach, rock pile, trolling some.  Came home with 18 bass and two walleye.  Great day!

That area outside Hawk Creek seems to always be silty with that clay like surface there.
