Go onto Craigslist and search in the FOR SALE section and put in WALL TENT there are a couple of nice ones listed on the Seattle page.

Check www.walltentshop.com. occasionally they have package deals that are a better deal then your typical used wall tent.  I bought mine from there 6 years ago and have had zero problems.  I got the wilderness tent.

:yeah:

Just bought a Davis 14x16 on their monthly special. Great product at a great price that is made by them. I talked to them 3 different times and every time I did the person on the other end had the last name Davis. Good people and great customer service on top of a great product is what made it a no brainer for me. If you can swing the cost of new I wouldn't buy anything but a Davis. :twocents:

There is a 14x16 on here I saw for sale. But it had no mud flap.

There are lots of good tent makers out there. Shop around.

Look at the eaves of the tents and pick one you like. All eaves are not created equal. Some come with grommets only. Some come with heavy hoops and grommets both.
In this state I have been in some nasty wind. So I like a tent that has lots of stake down options.

I got mine at cost from a local store. It is made by Reliable Tent and Tipi. I had never heard of them.
My buddy bought a Tent Shop tent.
Side by side except for windows, I can see no difference between the two tents. He paid around $1600. I paid $850.00.

Shop around.

Four a stove I would go 3 or 4 Dog depending on tent size.

I have a Rainier wall tent, and another 14X16 tent from the wall tent shop.  I am happy with both.  The Rainier wall tent is at least 50 years old, is used as our sleeping tent, and is still in great shape.  We've owned it since it was new, and always make sure it is stored well.  When I bought the tent from the Wall Tent Shop, I shopped around for quite a while, and finally narrowed my decision down to purchasing from Davis Tents, or the Wall Tent Shop.  The Wall Tent Shop is out of Moscow Idaho, so I made a quick trip over, and checked the tents out in person.  Those guys are always extremely helpful, and my tent is well built.  Both of my tents have stood up to high wind storms, heavy rainfall and snow load, without issue.  I was impressed with the Davis Tent staff as well.  Like noted above, they were always very helpful and knowledgeable when I called.  The only reason I didn't go with them, was that I didn't get a chance to see the tent in person.  The Wall Tent Shop also cut me a better deal.  Like above, I would recommend the 4-dog night stove for a 14x16 tent.  That's what I run in my tent, and it is of adequate capacity (of course, this depends on the weather/temperature you use the tent in).  I use my 14x16 tent for gear storage and dining/card table area, so the door is opened and closed a lot.  The 4-dog night stove keeps up.  I have made the mistake of going with a smaller stove, before, to save money.  I regretted it for a couple of years, and then broke down and purchased a larger stove.  I am now a firm believer in an oversized stove....  I always have to ability to cool the tent down.  Good luck with your search.
