Buck down
« on: September 06, 2016, 09:57:00 AM »
Second year bow hunting got this guy right before dark my first day out. Saw a bigger buck in the same area first thing in the morning but caught me and my brother off gourd so we weren't able to get a shot off on him. As the days when  on saw more nice bucks but my brother and father in law never had enough time to get a good shot at them except one my father in law nailed that we tracked for the most part of a day but we lost track of blood and fresh tracks as soon as he hit a good sized medow. But over all it was a great weekend with tons of laughs and jokes along with great memories of hunting with family.

Nice buck!  Sounds like a great day.  It that a Whitetail?

"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter
