Lab training for waterfowl !!!
« on: September 21, 2016, 07:02:56 AM »
Looking for more help in training my black lab to hunt and retrieve ducks. I've started with what I know and she's on the right path. If there is somewhere where I can send her or someone to help me that would be great. Live in Orting,wa anywhere remotely close. Thanks

Rocking M is in Eatonville.  Bryant Meyer is an easy guy to work with, and he may be able to help you out.

Look for some retriever clubs in your area. Find out where they meet and train. Tag along a time or two or join them.

Are you looking to send your dog somewhere for a few months? Basic gun dog programs with professional trainers begin with a 3 month program to get your dog socialized, obedience trained correctly and collar conditioned/force fetched.

What training have you done with your dog to put them on the right path?

There is a great gundog trainer that I've sent my dogs to in Battle Ground.
