Big bull rifle hunters

    I killed a spike a few years ago with a Rimrock bull tag. The meat was far more important to me than the horns. Never regretted it for a second.

I agree that I don't feel many people would give him a hard time, but everytime I say that I read a thread where some jackwagon does exactly that, so I don't blame you. Congrats to the young hunter, close quarters elk killing will seal the deal for him. He's an elk hunter for life now!

I respect that you don't want to post it, but it's too bad.   I think you are robbing him more backs slaps than criticism.  Anyone criticizing anyone for there legal animal isn't worth the air they are breathing anyway.   Tell him congratulations.  My first three Bulls were spikes.  I'm not ashamed.

:yeah:there it is !! My first deer was a doe, and I wouldnt let my dad skin it until all my neighbors got home and I toted her to their houses in my wagon no worries critics, it was about 8 degrees out but to me that doe  was Boone & Crockett..

Congrats to your nephew on the bull, he has done something at 14 I still have not done at 36.

He did the right thing, and shot a close bull, there's no gaurantee he would have gotten a shot at a bigger bull. The way it is these days, clean shot a a legal elk, you better take it!! Good job to the kid!!

  it has recently happened to another youth and because of criticism a great bull will not be seen on here. Wish that wasn't the case but i respect the decision.
