Shot this bruiser at first light 5 days into the season.
Yeah but at least it will eat good...

what do you mean by late whitetail season?? did you have a foothills special permit tag?

I believe it was the mayview late whitetail tag that I drew

that would be the blue mountain foothills b tag i believe. includes mayview, peola and maybe another one. early november?
there's some dandy whitetail bucks in that mayview unit. ever have opportunity to hun any of that farmland off of that road up from central ferry called something creek road? it runs into the far side of pomeroy. i saw 2 giants running in there this fall on private ground right along the road.

The Deadman Creek road or Meadow Creek road?  I havent hunted either area but i worked for a guy gathering cows on some of that ground and i saw some nice whitetails and I know most of the land owners in that area and they said they found a bunch of bucks this hunting season that died from blue tongue.  There are some monsters in that area but the real monsters are south of pomeroy outside the blues.
Yeah but at least it will eat good...

He scored a little over 130, he is 22 inches wide.
