The next trip the lone dark haired warrior ventured out on his own. Decisions, decisions...The lone warrior had to make a decision on whether to take the fight to dragons in familiar territory whence any battles had occurred or go to lands seldom visited...These far off lands have proven to be bountiful with battles but come with the cost of unfavorable peasants and warriors from other clans berating the warrior in numbers or stealing/damaging his chariot.

On a serious note, sorry that you have to deal with the kind of stuff.

As the warrior hit the fork in the trail he paused...He paused and reflected...reflected on past battles and reflected on past peasant encounters and made a decision.

Ok, I get what he is saying in general...But is this normal operating procedure for PlateauNDN to do with a kill story and post?  Is there going to be pictures or just a medieval tale?  :o

As the lone warrior traveled to familiar territory he decided that the lesser the better when it came to peasants and other clan warriors. As the lone warrior arrived at the entrance to the area he rode down a dark lonely road, for there were no encampments with a warm fire blazing nor chariots being made ready or warriors awaking from slumber.

As he arrived at his destination well before the sun dial struck daylight he enjoyed the clear cool sky. Stars shining bright through the sky illuminating the ground as if day time had come early.

A tale... Some scenery photos. Various other critter photos. A joke or 3 about a loin cloth shifting the wrong way. Pepperoni sticks.. then finally a drunken kill photo pose..

As the lone warrior sat quiet listening intently for the sounds of war screams the valley around him remained silent. As he slowly set out down into the valley below he eventually found a nice spot to set up in. As the sun B-E-G-A-N to creep up the clear blue sky.  As night turned into day he began his battle cry.

Again, battle cry...

And again...

Until the sound of death...

A pesky critter had let out a yelp, a yelp which had indicated a kill. A successful kill for a critter signaled the feast for such a lowly pest was imminent. As the yelp turned into a yap, yapping of enjoyment spread through the other pests and soon become as much as a dozen different yaps...

Not to be discouraged or deterred the lone warrior let out a thunderous battle cry in the hopes a dragon would hear and think that a challenger had entered his domain and this challenger declared it his. An adversary, am adversary worth fighting to the death with.

Silence befell the battle cry...

The lone warrior decided to follow-up that with a different sound. The sound of a temptress, a harlot, a Medusa. The sound was subtle and gentle, it flowed through the valley like a leaf on a river. This sound carried a charm that led many dragons to their death.

As the sound faded in the distant it had done it's duty. As if almost instantaneous the response of war screams commenced. Dragons.......

Dragons had fallen victim to the sounds of the Medusa and were now intertwined with fate, fate had arranged for a dance that could end in one of two outcomes, life or death...

As 3 dragons began the song and dance 1 had displayed his prominence over the others. As he came closer and closer it was evident that this would be the morning. This morning, of all mornings would conclude the journey...

Thoughts ran through the Warriors head, why today? Why this morning? Why today, when the warrior was by himself? Why could it not have been with clans men to share in the joy of battle, but alas, the lone warrior unsheathed his weapon and prepared for a quick kill.

A kill that comes at the hands of a Medusa song. This would not be a battle of cunning and wit, but of grace and deceit for the dragon not knoweth he cometh to his death.

As the dragon drew closer and closer the warrior awaited until finally the dragon was so near the recognizable smell of his musk and manliness was strong. He was there, there in the Warriors presence. The Dragon made low soft chuckles attempting to entice a gesture.

The warrior could not see the dragon for he stopped just on the other side of a cluster of small trees. He was there, the warrior stood and made sounds as if walking and responded to the soft gentle chuckles but it was not enough.  The Dragon stood silent, motionless and made no sound.

The warrior attempted to walk slowly at an angle hoping to see the dragon but the dragons breath had sounded with disappointment. The Dragon started walking off in the opposite direction through the patch of short thick trees and the warrior tried to get above the dragon to at least see him but to no avail. The patch was to thick and short that it provided the perfect cover.

The warrior started back to his chariot and made several more attempts at luring another dragon in but it was hopeless. The warrior traveled to many different areas and had no luck. Throughout the day many miles had been had and not a sight or a sound.

If it's one thing the warrior had learned it was that, if a dragon was to be had you had to spend all your time in their domain.  The lone warrior had decided that today was not the day for many reasons and headed back home.

The warrior received word that the journey was to resume as get sum clans men Rt's chariot was loaded en route for camp. They decided to strike out from camp the next day and make another attempt at the dragon from the previous day. As brother Rt was traveling near the area the day prior a dragon had emerged in his path, a dragon of tall stature, broad shoulders and weapons on his head of great size.

This is the dragon they decided to entice to a battle.

As the 2 warriors set out for the morning they were accompanied by a young boy who had begun his experience with battle just recently. He was a charm, a charm for battle.

As they warriors sought out a couple of spots they were interrupted by another clans warriors pushing their chariot through the forest and right into their position.

They decided another area with no other warriors was best and set out for this spot. They were beginning a battle cry when a response was immediate. From below, above and far off. 3, 3 dragons had responded and 1 stood out as he laid claim to this valley. They set out after the dragon of such stature, such vocalizations such prominence. As if the dragon himself believed another dragon was moving for battle attempting to take his female companions he responded again and again with his war screams.

The Warriors crept closer and closer, closing the distance until finally they separated. The dark haired warrior got into a position with visibility for a short distance but wide area.

As the other warrior continued to let out battle cries and war screams the dragon finally came into view. The warrior watched from roughly 40 yards out as the dragon was heading his way directly.
