i'd give it another week.  i'm actually considering going up there(ok, not the hatchery, but off the beach, maybe potlatch) since i won't be able to fish the skokomish for them any more.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

There are fish at the hatchery! Kept one last Sunday and then three more this morning. The staircase from the hatchery to the beach is closed, so you need to access the beach from the north side of the hatchery. Corkies and yarn or bobber fishing with anchovies or herring were both working today. Don't forget your eye protection.

Thanks, I knew it was getting close. Two years ago I took a buddy and his kid, in the freezing fog by boat. Took forever hugging the shore to find the hatchery. We were alone for three hours after daylight. Everything was freezing up except the fish. Within four and a half hours of fishing we took three limits home. And had a lot more on and fowl hooked. What a blast.
