Meat Processing in Lewis County
« on: October 28, 2016, 06:51:35 PM »
Greetings,
I stopped by Onalaska Meats today just to make sure they have room for wild game before I go out this weekend only to find out they are not accepting wild game this year.  They hope to be able to next year, but that's too long to hang anything! :chuckle:

With Morton Meats still out of business, I'm at a bit of a loss for for a game processor in Lewis County.
Any suggestions for a clean shop in Lewis County???

Thanks in advance,
Goshawk

I don't think Jim will do anything but burger(Maybe) and sausage, pepperoni etc. Great product though!

There's a guy out by Pe Ell who has a probably 600 sq ft meat locker and a huge room with everything you need to cut and wrap yourself. He supplies that paper and tape and has scales, grinder, I think a slicer to. I hung my elk there in September $50 for 10 days hanging. I don't know what he charges for the cut/ wrap but I can tell you his place was immaculate. He was really got off Hwy 6. I think his name is Larry Nichols.

Don't  use Salmon Creek Meats. He's expensive and he stole our tenderloins off 3 elk several years ago. Never again!
