McMillan Stock screw up
« on: October 28, 2016, 07:53:22 PM »
I just received a stock i ordered back in May. The inlet is for the wrong action. The color is wrong and the knob for the adjustable cheek piece is not with it. I am a little frustrated at the moment.  Hopefully they will accept a return.

Here is the part i am upset about. Back in May when i ordered the stock I was told i would receive a confirmation email or phone call 2 weeks before the stock would be started to make sure there were no changes and to make sure all items on the order were correct. I did not get that email. I was never given an invoice for a total $ amount. I called last week for some info and to tell them i have not got an email and the lady told me it was in the invoice stage and would ship this week.

Anyone ever deal with their customer service? I have a $850 stock that won't fit a single gun i own

Not bashing them at all. The stock is awesome and workmanship is top notch just not the right one. See what they say on Monday. Their site says 30 day return if not 100% satisfied so i' not too worried now. Just sucks I waited 5 months for the wrong stock.

Pretty strange for them. I've never had an experience like that, I'm guessing they will make it right

I'd be surprised if they don't resolve it to your satisfaction.

I love there stocks but have had issues with customer service as well. I started buying direct from stockys and a couple other places. Hard to do with some actions i know but takes the pita out of dealing with thete customer service if things go wrong.

I have 2 of their stocks already and love them. This is the first time ordering directly from them. This was done over the phone. Next time I think downloading the order form and faxing might be better.

That's frustrating! I've had it happen with Manners and McMillan though.

Maybe they just shipped you the wrong order?

Just got off he phone with the service department. They were really easy to talk to. Let me make a couple changes and said they would expedite a new stock for the error. Said it was a computer input error. I feel good about the way they handled it.
