Daughter got it done, first deer...
«
on:
November 01, 2016, 11:33:21 AM »
As luck would have it, my daughter's first deer hit the dirt right off of the road... She put in several days and hours in the woods these past weeks and a spike decided to wait for her at 2pm Saturday on the way in. Easy one shot kill and she celebrated like a crazy 14yr old with fist pumps, stomping and giggles.. She was excited to have grandpa and I there to see it.
Her sister was waiting at home to see him and they did a little bonding over the occasion.. This is the photo she wanted to share. Who said today's teenagers are don't know how to have fun??

King Co. Down here in Clark, we don't cotton to this kinda ungulate behavior.
Nice deer feet. Congratulations to the huntress.

LOL... It's what 14 and 11 year old girls do in the evening after hunting and waiting to go out the next day.. There is an inside joke about my daughter getting her nails painted with my girlfriend a few days before we went out. The nail lady told her that her new nails would attract the deer.
Just girls having fun...

Love it! My kids paint the dog's nails in similar fashion. Silly as hell! Congrats to your daughter.

she gave me the green light to post her deer.. She was super excited, but reluctant because it was a spike. I told her a deer is a deer; especially your first one!!

The first deer stays fresh in your mind every season. Thanks for sharing.
Be careful you'll see every late season hunter in the woods with painted nails if the y thought it attracts bucks and brings luck...

She should be proud of the first and any blacktail buck
