Real world muzzleloader designers.
« on: November 03, 2016, 11:34:59 PM »
Has anyone on this forum ever been involved in the actual design or manufacture of any type of factory built muzzleloader? Muzzleloader kits do not count. Like anyone who thinks they may have a viable idea, wether it is or not I'd like to find out.

Any ideas on contacting the right person would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully someone that could look at the design and instantly say either: "Nope, that's never going to work, what the hell is wrong with you?" or (less likely) "Hey, you might have something, let's run some numbers".

I know it sounds goofy, but after 30+ years of shooting muzzleloaders I have had a few ideas that seemed viable at first, then I tossed them. I have had a new idea I've kicked around for about a year, researched extensively and even tried to plug the proper numbers into different math equations. Haven't been able to come up with an adequate answer to the amount of improvement, if any the design may possess. Thanks for any help or just some ideas on how someone here would tackle it.
