I just spent 8 days in 49 deg, all the moose we saw were before 8am and the last hour and a half of daylight. Fog rolled in and out didn't seem to make a difference to the moose just that you cant see them.

Morning time is the best.  That is extended with cloud cover.   It can't rain hard enough to bother a moose.  Sunshine (heat)is your enemy.

I killed my cow at 10:00 AM Friday.  They are out a bit later in the morning now.

Morning is best.  I spotted mine around 830 am and killed him around 930 am feeding in a burn..
