Garmin Montana 610 vs 610t

About the only difference I see is that that 610t has preloaded maps and is $100 more.

I plan to use Onxmaps, so do I really need the preloaded maps?

if you have a smartphone use it.. I will never buy another gps...way longer battery life, bigger screen and better image. Lots of apps now out there with maps.. no service needed

I did this this year with OnXmaps, and as well as it worked, I am shopping for a GPS this winter. The issue that I ran into was not having map sections downloaded for a particular area after we decided to move from our original location.

Without any service or access to internet, there's no way to download the new sections. I had to drive an hour one way to get service so I could download the new sections. Based on that, I don't want to be caught with my pants down again if I decide I need to change areas.
I hunt, therefore I am.... I fish, therefore I lie.
