I'll be heading over to swakane for the thanksgiving weekend. I'm pretty pumped!  Shoot strait everybody.

Heading to Swakane Saturday morning to setup camp or wait for the late rifle guys to break down their camp so we can setup.  Hopefully the spot is open, same spot for over 20 years only had to wait on rifle guys once.

Good luck everyone.

We'll be heading over to 101 and 204 Thanksgiving weekend for Whitetail and Elk, but we also have some time set aside to cruise through 209 & 215 to see if we can't fling some sticks at some Mulies...

Going to scout out the Swakane tomorrow and look for a spot to hunt for Monday and Tuesday.  Be in green Jeep with my pops.
Gonna get as far up to the snow line as we can find.  Weather is moving in over the next couple days, should be interesting.  This is my first go around with the Swakane late archery.

Went up to Moe Ridge, Dinkleman, Mill, and roaring. Roads were pretty good. Little slick in places. Snowing at 3000ft and up this morning then we pretty much had fog to deal with all day so we didn't see much which sucks cause I was hoping to find a good concentration of deer and have a spot set for Monday. Just gonna have to wing it.

Kitsap....Shoot straight and be safe!!  Happy Thanksgiving to all!!  Let's get this done!!! :IBCOOL:
Lord , we've been here on days before
and often times you've let me score
Now do you think that on this day
you could send a gobbler down my way?
And , if not , just let me say--
you've given me another day
to hunt the bird I love the best.
I don't mind sharing with the rest

Sitting in my blind as I type this.  It's like Christmas morning.  Set up In the mount spokane area.  No action yet, they are definitely in here though (plenty of bucks on cam).  Wish me luck.  :IBCOOL:

I couldn't call any in today again.  I am not sure if it was my set up, my rattling skills or if the rut has calmed down. Well I needed to wrap up hunting this year so I could spend more time with my 5mo and 5yr old.   I filled my tag with a beauty doe at 20 yards at the end of the day.  My first bow big game kill! It's a good feeling to have meat this year and a new accomplishment.  Good luck to all you other bow hunters!

We spent the weekend pounding the snow, ended up tagging 2 does as well. We saw 2 REALLY nice bucks but just couldn't close the distance. We saw over 40 does and only the 2 bucks, not sure if we missed the rut or it just hasn't kicked off yet. We were over there 2 weeks ago and it seemed close, several scrapes and rubs, but the snow this weekend changed everything.

Yeah, so whats the story on the rut, have heard some say they got into it and others including myself that didn't see any part of it. Oh well, always next year. :)

Great job Chad, hoping to start my kids off that early too. Wish I had started bow hunting as a kid!
