Radio capability would be nice ( but no one I know has one ) They will both be on sale for the same price $299. Oregon is lighter , smaller and more battery life. More memory on the Oregon. Everything else is about the same.I'm new to the whole GPS other than the car units. So any help from users is great.
I guess the 3 state chip I got is the same as the single states except there is no landowner info on the 3 state.
I think the 3 state chip has public and private land, but doesn't identify the owners of the private land.

My 650 runs a long time on the rechargeable battery, but I turn the radio function off unless I'm hunting with others that have radios. I also keep the backlight pretty dim. There are things you can do to improve battery life, but if you're going back country, it is best to have a solar charger or spare batteries.
