Quail hunting Klickitat County
« on: December 03, 2016, 10:18:05 AM »
Just curious if any folks have some tips on quail hunting for me? I've never hunted them, but I figured it would be fun to try it this year, before it closes on the 15th. I have a huge covey in my backyard in town, I flush them from under my truck most mornings. They are something I've always wanted to hunt, but have just never made time.

Unfortunately, no dog, but I will have a hunting partner.

There isn't a ton of public land east of the Klickitat...I'm looking at Soda Springs as well as a big chunk of state land off the Centerville Hwy, are those spots worth my time to check out, or am I better starting somewhere else?

Just from doing to digging on the internet, it doesn't seem like there is much of a quail hunting 'scene' in my neck of the woods, I would be grateful for any advice!
