its perfectly legal depending on what your hunting and what season your hunting. im assuming your talking about gun mounted lights on a rifle? either way handgun or rifle yes its legal

I'm interested in this too.  I work nights quite a bit, and sometimes get off around 1 am.  Too early to head out hunting, (without a light)but too late to get any sleep before going out hunting....

Got home this morning at 5, and would've liked to make a set out behind the house.  Actually could see pretty well with the moon, but not well enough to go calling.

I tried gun mounted lights and do not like them. I prefer to night hunt with a partner and use a hand held light.

Nite Lite coon hunting head lamps come with a barrel clip to mount the head under the barrel. Works great with a scope. If your using a barrel light with a scope mount it under the barrel.

If I were to do more night hunting next winter I would probably consider giving the Primos scope mounted lights a try. . .they have a couple of different intensities available and they all come with red filters. . .if they don't work oh well. . .it would be worth a try as I thought the hand held light was cumbersome this past winter. . .but I was hunting solo as well. . .
