Hondas are great.  It depends on the use as to what you buy.  I bought the Teryx 800. 3 year warranty and 100% toughest well built machine made.  Dual purpose and cheap.  I paid 9999$ new.  I wanted tuff, warranty/reliable, multi uses and cheaper the better.  Is it a dune runner or jumper?  Nope.  Trail rig that climbs cliffs and doesn't leave you stranded.  Already out performed razor, maverick and wildcats climbing.  And they all have broken down.  I have tore cv boot.  Other damage was me crashing it like a arm and winch. :chuckle:

I bought a Honda 1000 5 a few months ago. I love it. It is a bit of a crossover compared to a ranger. The fact it slows down and downshifts automatically is a huge difference versus my friends rangers. It runs a lot like an Alison 6 speed for you Chevy guys. The paddle shift is nice. You can use it whenever you want. Doesn't have to be in a different mode. The back seats are really comfortable. Surprisingly comfortable. Honda just seems to take all the good and put it into one package. It rides great. Pulls up to 50mph no problem. It's a bit goofy on pavement at speed but...im sure they all are.

Teryx is the toughest!  Trust me I have done as much abuse as can be done to mine.  Ridiculous how tough they are.

Hey JR, I have a Can Am 800 SxS with a 6' plow mounted right now. Your more than welcome to stop by and take it for a spin. I can also show you some things to consider when shopping for a blade/mount system.

Sounds like I may need to drop by and give you some pepperoni I just made. ;). Do they make four seater?

They do...http://can-am.brp.com/content/canam-offroad/en_US/side-by-side/commander.html

We have a 2013 commander, excellent mix of play/work. Has been an awesome ride, no problems. We looked at Polaris and Arctic Cat. Can Am blew them away in quality and styling/comfort. Honda only had a straight utility then so never considered one, but I would look at one next time, just for the name reputation. It's gonna have to be SUPER sweet to pull me away from Can Am.

If you get a razor 4 seater the utility bed is behind the fourth seat so it's at least 4 feet longer, so you can seat four instead of three with the bed in use,but it is really long. For utility use Honda all the way. By far cheapest place I found to buy is lifestyles Honda, I have bought a number of snowmobiles four wheelers and side by sides from them.

Where's lifestyles at?

They've came a long ways in side by sides since the Big Red. Those are junk imo. Takes a guy a helper and a full day going through 23 steps just to change the oil......
Big Red?
Not much of a side by side, but pretty useful for what they were.

The can ams have a lot of plastic to break.  If you ride like me that's a problem.  I rub trees, mow down brush etc and am protected by roll bars top to bottom.  No plastic breakage.  Friends maverick is in tatters trying to follow me.  Also Can am has an open front diff which doesn't lock up.  Really poor feature when things get rough.  So many times he has to winch and is mad I climb over all of it.  If you don't wheel hard not a problem, or in the sand.  if you are climbing down trees or hills its a problem. :twocents:

Well I evidently do not ride like you, I tend to stay ON the roads and trails.

#1 I like to take care of my equipment, not trash it.

#2 I have spent ALOT of time advocating for better access for ATV/UTV/ORV's......Not going to detriment my efforts by damaging the resources.

You must have a Godly power to assume you know where I ride?  Private maybe?  Public?  Hmm, do you have gps track on me.  At Rimrock there was trees down on the APPROVED jeep trails!!!  OMG!  You must turn around hey?  Other parts off camber leaning into trees!  AGGHH!  What to do?  Maybe a Golf cart would suit you better eh??? FYI I have access to hundreds of acres of private lands to ride, sorry if you don't...To ASSUME is to make an ASSofUandME!  Yes I can be a JERK too!  By the way my machine is in excellent condition as I maintain it and it isn't a piece of plastic Canadian crap. :twocents:

I was referring to Honda's first attempt at a side by side, the Big Red. As far as I'm concerned, they're junk. Only Honda product that i can think of made that was a mistake. These new Pioneers are the real deal.
