No CPl still?

Applied for my CPL on December 1st. Still no letter or anything...Think it's just taking longer because of the holidays? Does it normally take longer than the 30 days they say it will take? Thanks again everyone.

Check out rcw9.41.070, it reads they shall  issue within 30 days of filing unless you do not have a valid drivers license, wa I'd card or been a resident for less than 90 days.    I had the same problem at sno co courthouse with sheriffs, at 31 days I went to get mine, nope, I quoted the rcw and was told, I don't care what the law says.    I went home and called legislater, they made a few phonecalls, called me back and said I could go pickup my permit.   That was in the 80s.     Call your legislative rep.

Thanks for the advice. I fit the criteria, so I'm disappointed I haven't got mine yet. I have the day off tomorrow so will make some phone calls.

RCW 9.41.070
Concealed pistol license—Application—Fee—Renewal.

(1) The chief of police of a municipality or the sheriff of a county shall within thirty days after the filing of an application of any person, issue a license to such person to carry a pistol concealed on his or her person within this state for five years from date of issue, for the purposes of protection or while engaged in business, sport, or while traveling.

Have you called to see if it's done? I didn't receive a letter or call, just called in and they said come pick it up.

I called and they said it could take up to an extra 2 weeks to mail it because of the holidays.

Interesting that the holidays were on Sunday and even if they took the Mondays off, that's two extra days. Call your State Representative.

I had to push hard on them and they got it done.  They weren't happy, I was fair and pleasant, but firm.
