Finally pulled the trigger.
« on: January 17, 2017, 04:02:09 PM »
After countless days scrolling through archery talk and Craigslist. Finally found a bow. Just purchased a used 2016 Mathews halon x pro. Got a smoking deal. Now off to XXX archery tomorrow and get it dialed in. Been out of the bow scene for awhile. Feels good to get back in it.  :IBCOOL:

Xxx is the place to take it. Some black eagles should shoot sweet in that. Congrats.

I love the Mathews bows.  Not familiar with yours but good choice I'm sure.  I still happy with my Z-7X.
MAGA!  Again..

Thanks. I feel Like a kid on Christmas. Just can't get to Xxx fast enough. Want to sling some arrows. The guy I got it from also had a brand new qud HDX rest New in box so I picked that up as well. Overall probably best Craigslist experience I'll ever have. Talked with the guy for awhile and exchanged some story's and just down right awesome guy.

XXX is a great shop but not a mathews dealer, he didn't sound excited at all to work on my mathews. Please post how your experience was! Again, nothing against the shop whatsoever. The guy knows his bows and when I buy the Reign it will be from him.

Wish I would have never sold my Z-7X, but I just picked up a Creed after selling my Bowtech. Missed my Mathews!

I was a Hoyt fan forever. Then I shot my buddies z7 magnum and liked how it felt. Then shooting the halon today before I bought it. Man did it feel good. It was super silent. Just felt really well.

So little update from my XXX archery stop today. Cory is hands down the best guy to deal with. Knows his stuff about the bows. He don't sell Mathews and some said he sounded not happy about working on mathews. Well I walked in with bow in hand and he was more then happy to help me out on all my needs. He explained to me what he could do and couldn't do since he wasn't a Mathews dealer. He fixed me up with all the things I needed. Then took the time to make sure it was all perfect tunning it in at his indoor 20 yard range. Always asked about how it felt and if anything needed adjusted. Gave me pointers on things and just made me felt like my dollar was well spent. His customer service is spot on. That said I will drive the fourty minute drive to his shop for any of my bow needs.

After my experience. I'd drive five. Customer service like that is worth it.
