It is very basic. I've used them quite a bit this winter. There is only 4 different setups you can do and three of them are preset. I haven't  taken any videos more than 20 feet away but from the looks of them I wouldn't want to be too much farther at dark. For what you can get them for, I can't  complain. The one thing that is weird is they say they are 10 mp but I the highest setting you can put them on(that I've found) is 8 mp. The only thing that really bothers me about stealth cams is not having a display screen. I don't like having to carry extra memory cards or buying a display module.
