Been thinking about replacing flood and fog lights on a couple of vehicles with LED.  Priced the Quake LED's at the Sportsman Show    Show price was discounted, but still    Any suggestions on types. brand, etc. would be helpful.  Wanting fog lights for my truck that as good or better than stock that had to go when I put Buckstop bumper on.  Light bar for FJ40 would mount on safari rack and get spots/floods off bumper.

I bought a cheap one from Amazon.  60$, 50" comes with all wiring no brackets (TSC) has them though.  Its on my UTV and has seen it all!  Branches, mud, roughness, pressure washer etc.  Very good and bright.  I'm sure there is better but why do you need it?  This thing lights up the world... For 60$ I can but 8 of them for the $ of a Rigid!

Got mine on Amazon 24 in.for 35 bucks put it on bumper a year ago still working,wired to batery,toggle swich ,inline fuse at batery.I have a tube brush guard so I just got a couple muffler clamps and bolted right to those.The light bar I got u can't turn it on when traffic is coming it's to bright ,so if you wanna use it all the time small led fog lights might be better.

I have prime account which is extra handy. I particularly have had good lu k with the Nilight brand on amazon. I've installed 3 sets for there $20 flush light pods into the rears of my vehicles and friends as reverse lights with the longest installed about 1.5 years ago in the bumper of my tacoma. It catches all the water and dirt kicked up from the rear tires that gets caught on the back inner side of the bumper and has yet to even fog up. Got lazy and just bridged them over from my reverse lights and they suck of little to nothing for juice and work great when I reverse in dark places.

Also used th same brand pods and 20in bars for the front and never had issue yet. I haven't got to there large bars yet but the ones I have tried I would recommend.  And they can be in hand in 2 days. Also if you do order some on amazon get a longer wiring harness than you think you will need. When routing wires to hide them for a clean job it sucks up a lot of length.

The saying goes you get what you pay for. There lights are really top notch I run them on a few of my rigs and there bright the quality is amazing.

That is true for the most part but just because it is more expensive does not equate to how bright these lights are. A good nomber of these LED chips are all made by only a few companies. If you want to take the time and have the skills you can really build a top notch light from readily available component parts. I have seen the Vision X and ran Rigids and the quality is awesome. I have also ran some of the Amazon specials and Summit branded lights, and without close inspection it is hard to tell the difference. If the diodes are rated at the same wattage they are usually indistinguishable for brightness. Never had a problem with any of the lights. The extra cost usually comes from a higher quality construction and better designed reflector plus a good warranty.

Do the rest of us a favor and leave them turned off when you're on the road. Why people drive a lifted pickup with a 4' LED light bar turned on on a clear night I'll never know. I figure they much be compensating for something.

It's has become a new thing for the high school kids to wire them to turn on with there fogs and drive around with it blinding people. Seen many get pulled over 

Also vision X does have a life time warranty. The amazons light bars aren't that bad. I think I got one to try and I thought it was called opt 7 and for the money it was not bad at all.
