Time for a new truck

Does anyone know of a dealership that isn't a complete screw job a guy should check out when buying a new rig? It's time for a new pickup or a used one with low miles. I'm thinking 1/2 ton 4x4 with a crew cab. Right now I'm liking the looks of the Ram trucks but driving all the brands will be necessary before a choice is made.

Kelleher Ford in Ellensburg.  I shopped all over western WA, finally gave up, made one call, they had what I was looking for on the lot, get this - got a price over the phone as soon as I asked, drove over, looked at it.  Came back over the next day w/wife & kids and have been happy ever since.

I used Sunset chevy, they have treated me well, some say they suck and some dont.

I bought a 2016 silverado crew cab with the 6.2L abd 8 speed trans, and put a 6" lift on it and 35s and it does everything I want it to and still pulls great, cant even tell its lifted or anything. I absolutley love it!

But go drive them all and see what one best fits you.

I bought a new tundra not too long ago, tried to go through costco and thought it was a pain.  They also couldnt get anywhere near the price that I ended up paying. Just my    And for a half ton i love my tundra crewmax, tons of room, only down side is the short box.

We've had good results from Marysville Ford and from Reardons in Smokey Point. For my last truck, I figured out what I wanted and sent emails to 6 or 7 dealers asking for their best price. It worked pretty good, a few phone calls and email exchanges later and I think I got a pretty good deal. You have to know what you want first though.

Today i stripped the drain plug for the front differential 
At least I can open up the fill and use the turkey baster method. Should get most of it out

Ram 1500 ecodiesel from Dave Smith.  $45k loaded.
Can get the same gas for 8k less.  Happy with mine 25-28mpg, tows up to 9k

Look at the flip up center front seat.  Handy and you wouldnt know its flip up without trying it.

I have tried Costco twice.  Not interested in trying them a third time.  When we need a new F150 I suspect we will be trading with Kelleher again.

I had good luck with the Costco rout once on my 94 Chev Z71. My last one was a slightly use (97 miles) 2014 2500HD Diesel and Allison 4X4 I found at Titus Will in Olympia for under 40K.

Evergreen Chevy / Ford has been great to me with both my Ford and Chevy services. They stick to appointment times and have excellent customer service. I've bought ford parts rebuilding my front end, brakes ect. They are fast, friendly and responsive every time. I'll buy my next truck from them for sure. My fiancée bought her used Chevy from them before me and they treat us like royalty. Great group. Last time the Chevy was in for a steering link job they took 2 hours longer than they promised while I was waiting and they serviced the transmission for no charge. Just a nice addition which was unexpected.

It's not the dealership,
It's if you know how to play the game.
Test drive everything, take up a serious amount of each salesman(woman)s time
Walk away.
Hit multiple dealerships.
Play them against each other.
Bring cash, unless they offer 0 down, 0 interest.
Walk away again.
Shop online, print results.
Play that against all the salesman you are working with.
Be very critical of condition if used, even slightly used.
Get an independent mechanical inspection.
Ask for extras, no charge, and extra warranty.
If not walk away.
Sooner or later you'll get a good deal,
Or at least you'll have fun driving 15-20 new trucks and making a few ratsh** salesmans life miserable for a couple weeks.

But they did have my license plates for a long time, long enough I couldn't drive my truck for 10 days as my temps expired. They also sent the wrong plates once.

Took 4 hours to get my truck after signing paperwork, they had to fuel it and put some glue on a small spot of body trim.

If you do end up there, Robert cann was a pretty easy salesman to work with, I'd deal with him again in a heartbeat.

We have a 2011 F150 Lariat eco boost and love it.  Tows like a champ and near 22 mpg empty on the highway if I am not in a hurry

Dave Smith in Kellogg Idaho is the largest Dodge dealer in the world and usually the best priced. If you know what model you like, you can google them, call them and get their bottom price right over the phone, fly to Spokane, they pick you up and you get the truck and drive home. Myself and several friends from all over the northwest have bought cars and trucks from them.

We have a Max Tow Ecoboost, it is rated north of 12K towing capacity.  It was not all that easy to find a dealer that had a F150 Lariat w/max tow in stock. They are easy to recognize, Super Duty mirrors. You just don't see a lot of them.

 The only place I have ever had to back off was on Loup Loup in August w/our Polaris Ranger inside the toy hauler with all the rest of our crap.  It has a bunch of big radiators up front to cool God only knows what.  They do a good job of it too.
