Has anyone out there used this particular bino harness and can give me a report on how good it was and how it compared with the bino harness that only have a case for binos? I have no experience with any type of bino and would like reports on this one the ones that only have a case for the bino and the ones that are just a harness with no case at all.

Chet,

I have not used the one you listed but I have both a Alaska Guide Creations KISS Max and a FHF for two different pairs of binos. I prefer the kiss max because the lid protects my binos better, it has a small pocket on the bottom that I put an emergency blanket, outdoor edge knife with 3 blades, and compass in. The AKG also has a mesh pocket in the back that I put my elk reeds in. As well as a elastic flap on the top, but this flap is worthless you will lose anything you try to put in this pocket if it is flat I lost multiple reeds last year. The back straps on the AKG are larger and sometimes I would have to adjust them is my pack set on the seam wrong. It also has mesh side pockets but I never really use these because I prefer to keep my wind checker clipped on with a carabeaner that I wrap in leukotape.

The FHF I have is smaller. It is a great case but I did not use it once last year. I prefer the straps on the FHF compared to the AKG as they are smaller and never bunch up. The lid on the FHF does not protect the sides of the binocular opening like the AKG. But due to the design of the lid you can tuck the lid behind your binoculars. This case also has side pockets which are not that useful for me, but can hold a wind checker. It is also quite a bit lighter than my AKG if you are counting weight.

Either way, they are both great harnesses.

https://hornhunterpacks.com/product/bino-hub-optic-carry-system-camo-only/ This one is money. Highly recommend it. Keeps a lot of the dirt and grime off the binos, they don't slap around as much, plus for clumsy people like me they help soften the blow if you trip and fall on em.

I had a kuiu and then went with the fhf. I like it a lot better. Easy to unclip your binos to use on tripod. With the kuiu you end up searching for your clips cuz they slide back over your shoulder :bash:
