Savage MSR Recon
« on: February 19, 2017, 06:16:14 PM »
I just purchased a savage recon. The gun itself has a very well made feel to it. It came with blackhawk flipup sights. They should have just kept them and knocked off $100. What cheap pos sights. The plastic is very cheap and the sights flex badly even when tightened. The front can not even be lowered enough to sight in at 25-50 yards. with the blade adjusted all the way down it is still 14" low at 25 yards. I have optics on the way so not a huge deal but i wanted to shoot some this weekend and couldn't even enjoy it because of these sorry excuse for sights.  :bash: :bash: The blackhawk sights retail for the same amount as magpul mbus flipups and are nowhere near the quality. Anyway rant over. I will update with a review when i get some decent sights.
