I agree. They need to draw earlier. Let's say they did draw on the 24th. That gives people one week to prepare before season starts. I understand the eastside bears aren't really out yet in early April but last year when my wife got drawn we were there April 1st setting up cams and learning the area.

I honestly don't see why they can't do this draw 6 months to year year in advance.  It's not like they are doing some sort of spring surveys that effect tag allocations.  Alasks does theirs a year out.  Utah and ID results are already out as well :dunno:

 :yeah:

Lump the Spring Bear drawing in with all the rest of the special permit drawings.
darn good idea!  Heck they have the following years hunt info in the current game regs.  It would literally be that simple.

The only potential issue I can see is having to buy the next years bear license/tag before applying for the spring bear draw.

Maybe if I keep checking this thread it will make the drawing happen sooner.   :dunno:  Who else is trying this?

Leaving an all hands meeting downtown in the rain feels like hunting. Except I'm in a stupid city and not hunting. The wet feels the same though. I checked bear apps a dozen times during the meeting.
