Two eye Swaro spotter
« on: March 03, 2017, 05:24:30 PM »
Anybody had a chance to look through the new two eyed spotters from Swarovski yet? I just saw these, not sure when they came out, looks like they could be awesome though! No more fatigue from one-eyeing it all day

It's just an eye peice for your existing spotter correct?

They are not supposed to ship until May.   It's just $2700 eyepiece for your existing atx/stx modular objective.   :chuckle:

If I was gonna go with a pair of legit big eyes, I'd spend the money on a pair of Doctors.  As much of an optics nut as I am, I won't be ordering this one.

I guess if you already had that scope then yeah it's just an eye piece.

I've already got the 95mm objective and I'm not going for it.   You'd need a 85 or 95 to really utilize the 30/35x

Those Doctors are nuts. Guess they are pretty popular in Arizona.

The 40x80 ED extra wide angle are nuts.  I sat next to a guy with a pair for 7 days last fall and it wasn't even fair.

Not sure I would spend $2700 to convert a perfectly good spotter to a fixed 30 power binoc.  I think adding a 15x binoc would be a better choice except for weight.  But I really like turning spotter up to full power often.

After rave reviews from guys I trust, I had no choice but to order a BTX and a 1.7x extender.  With an STX eyepiece, 95mm and 65mm objectives, I should have an option for every scenario I could run into.

My BTX and 1.7x extender came in the mail tonight.  I am super impressed with the image at 35x and 60x95mm.   Can't wait to get it the field!

I spend money on my glassing optics and actually going hunting, not my rifle/optic so no.   :chuckle:

This should be interesting to see what the reviews are but holy smokes they are expensive.  I bet there will be some used spotting scopes coming up for sale soon as some people have to have the new stuff.

The the new plastic film lenses are supposed to change everything soon. Cheaper - lighter - sharper.
