Banks, Moses or potholes thawed?
« on: March 21, 2017, 07:38:31 PM »
Me and my brother are going fishing on the east side soon. Just wondering what the up to date ice report was for these lakes.

last I heard they are still icefishing on parts of Banks.   Best place to get info is call one of the two fishing stores in either Coulee City or Electric City.

I hope Banks is thawed by Spring break in a couple weeks. I want to get the boat out and hit the walleye grounds! Appears that Moses is ice free...
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

I've seen a couple of boaters on the lake already.   Water should be turned on this week as the cleanup was last weekend.

What ice was left looked like it wont be around long. Plenty of water to fish north until then. You can launch at steamboat, Northrup, or coulee playland.

Came over the dam again yesterday.  Still frozen as was the Coulee City Marina-looked like maybe open water out a mile or so.  Not a soul in the campground at coulee city.  Looked to be very close to opening up but I didn't stop to check it out. Never seen it hold on this late.
