FINALLY. The AR is shooting GREAT!!
« on: February 20, 2009, 01:02:51 PM »
I've had a heck of a time getting a tight load for my AR. I'm getting good groups but not great groups. So I worked up another load with 60 grn sierra varminters and Benchmark.

This is the 1st 5 shot string.

2nd

3rd. Damn IT!! I jerked one.  :chuckle:

So finally, I feel really good about a coyote load. To bad I'm pretty much shut down for the season. I need to hit the range and see where I'm hitting at longer ranges.

Nicely done Gutpile-glad to see it's coming around for you.  I just walked in myself from shooting and did fair.  .75" with a 1" low cold-bore (.308).  I've never had tight groups with my AR's because one's got an EoTech and the others got an ACOG.  I do good on center mass shots though. ;)

What trigger do you have on the AR?

Looks like you found your load, I was just asking about the trigger since that's usually the first item that needs tweaked on a AR.
