Most of the ones that are found that are salvageable are auctioned off by various groups with 90% of the proceeds going back to the state for sheep research and management.

I've been at multiple Seattle Puget Sound SCI chapter's banquets where they've both live auctioned and silent auctioned recovered ram heads.
