I got the noticed that I received my big game combo.  I know it's a 100% but still super stoked.  First time going out of state and we will be hunting mullies in eastern Montana with an outfitter.  October can't come soon enough.

I'm confused.  This is my first time applying to MT.

I applied for a nonresident deer combo, and the drawing results state 'Pending 2017 General-Deer Combo'.

The 'Active Item's Held for 2017 License Year' shows the nonresident big game / deer combo license package I purchased.

Assuming the Drawing Results tab will indicate if I was draw for a nonresident OTC deer tag?

Everything is different this year.

This is the first year in about 8 years that licenses have been over-subscribed forcing Montana to go to a draw. In previous years licenses were under-subscribed so they simply issued everyone a license. This year they are currently preparing to enter all applicants into a draw, this will take a little longer for this to occur and licenses will most likely end up getting issued later than last year. There are no left over licenses except for what ever elk tags get returned from the combo purchasers and applicants who request refunds due to ilness, etc as the year progresses.

Big game combo license for me and my son. That was expensive. Now waiting on special permit draw.

Montana Big Game Combo results came up this am.

Checked early with no results available. Checked later this am and filled in the MyFWP info and our group went 5 for 5 for successful draws. No one paid the extra $50 for the preference point.

Was told that the BG Combo had more applicants than licenses this year for the first time in years. Don't know how many they had over 15,000, but my guess is they don't want to send any money back for unsuccessful draws, so we will see if anyone doesn't draw.

May not be many/any leftover licenses this year. Spoke to our outfitter a little while ago, and he said there were several thousand leftovers last year. Suspect more folks are looking at Montana and Idaho due to challenging draws in other states in concertwith the winter weather this past year. Have a nephew in Durango CO and he thinks there will be reduced opportunity in his area this year.

Hope all who applied successfully draw!

I checked for my buddy & myself. We both were "unsuccessful"  :bash: We applied separately for the big game combo. We may need to come up with a plan B if there are no other deer tags from somewhere.  :dunno:

I'm guessing a lot of people didn't buy the bonus point for the big game combo because they been undersold the last couple years

I am also seeing pending for elk permit but did draw deer/elk combo. Hopefully it doesn't take until the end of the week to find out.

Are you guys seeing that you drew the Big Game Combo successfully on the "Drawing Results" tab on the My FWP website?

My Deer Combo still says "No successful results" and "No unsuccessful results".

Same as mine, listed under 'drawing results'.  Also says 'pending--general deer combo'.

I wonder if the draw is conducted, then the results are loaded into the system once the draw has completed.  Or, if the draw does its thing, then people's status change if their selected.

They give out 17,000 big game combo's.  I have heard only a little over 15,000 applications for them.
