Nitto Tires and leveling kits

So hopefully new rig coming in the next month.  Will be a 3/4 ton diesel.  I am swapping out the stock rims and tires.  I have one of those work hook ups that gets sweet deals on rims and tires.  I believe that this hook up is only good for Nitto and Toyos brands.  I hear a lot of good review on the Toyos, but thought I would ask if anyone has good or bad reviews on the Nittos.  I like the look, and they have a good warranty.

Also, I want to level out the front of the truck, so I can get a little bigger tire without any rubbing.  I am not going full redneck on the tires, just something around a 32 inch tire.  Any leveling kits I should stay away from?

I'm doing the same but plan on the new nitto ridge grappler in a 35x12.5.... from the research that be done 35s clear fine with a leveling kit. I've even some running 37s with the right offset. Not what I would do but just a idea of how much clearance these trucks have

I have always run Toyo's, not much help with the Nitto's. I would think with a leveling kit 33" would be perfect, 32 is close to stock on a 2500

 I got Nitto trail grapplers on my old Ram 2500 4x4 diesel, they held up very well.  My idea was to have an all season tire and quit swapping them around for winter driving but I quickly found out that the nitto's suck bad on ice and compact snow.

Had to go buy snow tires again 


for the other 3 seasons they've been great.  They're wore out now but I've had them on a long time..unknown miles.  Nitto's were pretty new to the market so it's been 5-6 years I've had them.  Wish I could guesstimate the miles for ya.

also using XD wheels, they seem OK.  hauled some big loads and no cracks and the finish has held up well even with being through one winter with a lot of miles in Canada with that crap they spray.


They aren't a traditional 33x12.5 but something metric.  I don't have a lift or anything and they fit fine.  Just a smidge smaller than 33x12.5 17

Thanks for the heads up on the Nittos KF.  Now that you mention the issue with Nittos, it rings a bell, like maybe I heard someone with a similar issue before.

35's clear easily with leveling kit. I run 33's on stock and they run smooth with no rubbing. I'm not a toyo fan and have wanted trail grapplers but never got then. I've run many cooper discoverer STT's and love them. I got mickey's on now and they're ok.

What year ram? I have fit 35's on my stock ram 2500. If upgrading wheels, you will probably need a level to clear 35s depending on offset and back spacing.

2017, I am upgrading the wheels but will stick with an 18 inch wheel unless there is some reason to go bigger..

Ive been happy with my 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers. Should get about 35-40k miles out of them. Cant help on the fit I have a Silverado HD.  Also Toyo owns Nitto so the tires tend to be similar between the two brands.

I have the terra grapplers and I thought they were great in snow and ice- for some reason though they suck in rain, going uphill and turning they always seem to slip a little  you would figure they would be good in all rainy conditions too

On my second set of Trail grapplers on my Silverado 1500. Replaced the first set after about 50k miles because my wife ran over a screwdriver on I-5.  Otherwise, I would have ran them at least another 10k miles.

I had toyo open country ats on my ram 1500 and now I run terra grapplers on my silverado..... so far for the rain and snow I prefer the terra grapplers.
