Summer crabbing and camping.

I'd love to find a campground in the puget sound that has good dungeness crabbing. I've got two young girls I'd like to get out on the water. 15 foot lowe, 25 horse  and small kids so weather has to be good. We'd like to go during the week like a thurs/fri. We did dash point a few years ago but its a decent drive to launch the boat and the crabbing wasn't good.

Any suggestions!

There is a state park with a launch on an Island that I used to call home that has pretty good crabbing.  Mind the water can go full rodeo at the drop of a hat.  It's busy as all get out but there are crabs in those waters.  So much crab I actually still get sick thinking about the constant stench of crab.

Head to the canal. Scenic beach state park. Misery launch is 1 minute around the corner. If you decide to go I will give you crabbing spots.

Launch at Manchester and camp on Blake Island.  A+ boat camping in the Sound, some good crab spots nearby.

Kayak Point between Everett and Stanwood. Camping and yurts, a huge day use area, crabbing off the pier and a little boat ramp. There is no where to tie up the boat while parking the trailer, just have to nose it in to the beach.

Kayak Point would be my suggestion to. Great crabbing, generally good water conditions,  and lots of space for kids. It gets busy, but they all do that time of year.

I was just going to recommend Kayak.  Just avoid the crab opener unless you want to see crazy wrecks at the launch.

The rules are suspended on the dock, never seen anyone check anything over there.  On the other hand, I was hassled several years ago because I pulled the shell off the crab to cook it and eat it on the beach.  I couldn't prove the crab I was eating at the time was over the minimum size limit.
