2016 Coho Harvest Reports don't Pass the Smell Test
« on: April 25, 2017, 10:49:45 AM »
It sounds like either the Mucks took a lot of time off last Fall from fishing or they had almost unbelievably bad luck...or something else altogether. Anyone else hear about this? Anyone have any opposing data or facts to debunk this?

I read this when it was released. Fairly solid assessment of tribal gamesmanship, IMHO.

Tribes can act with impunity now that they have politicians in their pockets, courtesy of the truckloads of casino money they give in the form of campaign contributions.  This abuse of "co-managing" is just one example, and a very clear reason why the tribes are so interested in playing hide-the-ball by pushing the legislation through that we discussed in this thread:

Atleast this kind of greed and corruption is finally being exposed. It's a start in the right direction that is if it ain't too late :dunno:

I hate to be the Debbie downer on native issues such as this one but they are so wealthy and powerful now it would be hard to shrink this tumor down to a manageable size at this point.
