Halibut fishing awesome co F

Left the dock at five put lines in at six and limited with four halibut had to realize one and had ten on and back to the dock by eight fastest halibut bite I have ever been on we were out of Westport had three fifty pounders and one twenty five. Heading for ling in the morning.

Awesome! I wish salmon fishing on the Columbia was that hot!

Don,t know how to post pictures on here but it's on Facebook. Seems like a fair amount of salmon and silvers around this year.

Went out of John Wayne with no luck. Weather was awesome and all the banks had plenty of boats on them. The fish checker said only one for the day. Pretty slow on the inside.

Went out of John Wayne with no luck. Weather was awesome and all the banks had plenty of boats on them. The fish checker said only one for the day. Pretty slow on the inside.

Talked to the checker at Deception and he agreed that the hali were pretty much gone before the opener.  I gave up after the second trip, lings seemed a far better chance.  Looking at the quotas and extra days, it just wasn't a great year the further east you went from Neah.
