How many of you
« on: February 25, 2009, 08:28:13 PM »
with boats, that have not taken them out since fall are getting the itch?  Man I have been out in the garage everynight this week.  Charging batteries, playing with the trolling motor, organizing storage compartments. I had my 2 yr old son in the boat tonight.  Trying to teach him the art of vertical jigging with one of my ice fishing rods.  Had a sponge bob toy from a happy meal tied on as a lure.  He had a hoot!! :IBCOOL:  Until he found the trim and tilt switch and horn, then Dad said :bdid:  He didn't like that to much!!  Plan to hit Roosevelt soon!!  Tight lines everyone.

have not taken them out since fall

BLASPHEMY!!! :'( ;).  Just giving you a hard time.  There is still good fishing after October.

When are you making the trip over to Roosevelt?  If you have the time I am sure son would love a stop at Rufus Woods.  Another good way that I found to get the little ones interested in fishing is to take them out when the shad are running up the Columbia, or this fall when the humpys run up the Skagit.  I can't wait to go out fishing and not freeze 8)

I took my cruiser out for a little ride to blow out some diesel last week.  I also sat in my Skeeter and ran it for about 10 minutes last weekend to make sure that it still runs well.  I plan to crank up the other 2 boats this coming weekend and get then all blown out.  I am more than ready for some boating action and maybe an overnighter or more.  I hope to hit some bass in another month or so.

I get the itch every Friday evening and by Saturday morning I'm seriously scratching it.
Rufus Woods 01/18/09. Who would have thought to bring a window scraper?

With not much rain I havent been Steelheading in a few weeks. I did get the sled all Big C ready for the Springers this last weekend. Kwickies all scrubbed, rods rigged and ready!

As well the Drift boat and 3 pontoons sit waiting for this weekend when there will finally be some water. :IBCOOL:
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me to.

Have been a couple times on the Columbia and actually have one springer punched on my card already.  Anyone wanting to fish the Columbia for springers in mar or April, give me a hollar.  I have a cover and heat in my boat.  I fish from Camas to Willow Bar.  Retired and always ready to go.
