Wyoming Antelope unit 76
« on: August 07, 2017, 03:47:12 PM »
I am headed down to doe hunt in this unit, just wondering if anyone has had any time spent in this area near Thermopolis. There is some public land to hunt but there is quite a bit of private and i haven't been able to make contact with the landowners. Thanks!

First rule for that unit is to make sure to take the short trip up north to Wyoming Whiskey.

You shouldn't have trouble finding does on public land, get the Onx map on your phone and you'll fill your tags.  PM me if you need help, hotel or other advice.

Depending on when you are going, the waterslides are a great way to cool off.  Also check out the buffalo herd just north of there, they are usually not to hard to find.  Finally, the dino museum is pretty cool (both scientifically speaking and air conditioned).

nope. can't transfer the tags. You can donate them to the state who will give them to a disabled VET free of charge. But if he can't go, the tags can't be redistributed.

As far as hunting this unit, for does, you'll likely have no issues unless you drew the tag that forces you to be close to the river...which, if that's the case, go knocking on doors of the farmers. There isn't any WIH areas if I'm correct.
Wishing I was fishing...or in Wyoming
