I haven't tried way out yet.  I'm usually the closest boat to shore.  Still learning how to fish area 10; I've fished 8-2 & 9 all these years and never needed to.

Anyone been out in the afternoon in area 10? I just got my prop back today from the prop shop and I'm thinking about hitting it tomorrow around noon or so. 2 weekends ago we did well around noon so hoping that it will replay the same way.

Got 4 this morning. Using green spatterback Piscator's. I can't believe metal flashers are old school? Guess i'm just old :chuckle: White and black home made flies. South of green buoy 35 to 55 on downrigger. 17' arima.

Much slower this morning. We had lines in by about 7:10...had a chunky hen in the boat again with only about 20 min of fishing in. More shakers than usual for me...still running spoon and ace high fly. Trolling randomly. Had three good take downs, landed 2, lost one at the net because I'm an idiot. Talked to a few boats and most people said it was terrible...just sucked. I think the fish jammed up into the river and we are now seeing the tail end of the run. I'll be back out tomorrow for the last hurrah. Got some eggs to cure, some meat in the brine, and a few bellies to add to the smoker. All said a great morning on the water. Clear weather, clear water, and calm seas.

Slow morning again. Got lines in byb7 am but nothing happening. We did hook, land, and release a small chinook. Then shakers. A few nets here and there but not much. We took a 5 min break to try and chase down a flasher with a nice fish attached buymt just couldn't grab it.  By the way, was fishing with a member that took me up on the open seat offer. First good takedown we had a long line release. Seemed like folks around us were hooking up......just a matter of time.....

After some coaching we got the first one in. Nice sized hen...probably close to 10 pounds. Took a while,  until just after 11 but we stuck one at 120 on the ace high fly. Good long fight and we had his limit.

Yep, both were hens and very chunky. We ate very well indeed this evening.
