I need A texas longhorn skull cleaned
« on: August 30, 2017, 07:10:34 AM »
I am butchering one my Texas longhorn steers on Sept 7. and need someone with beetles to clean it for me. I contacted Bug'sN Bones and he does not do long horn skulls and he gave me a recommendation that I am going to look into later today during business hours. I am in Maple Valley Wa. And willing to travel if needed. I will be dropping the head off on the 7th as soon as the butcher leaves my house.

@buglebuster

I texted him asking if he can handle a longhorn.

If we can get the horns off, I'm sure I can do it  :tup: wish my tank was ready, it will be 62x62 inside deminsions.

I've done several Longhorns and Watusis and they are a pain in the butt to macerate.  You have to get those caps off and clean them out really well or they will stink to no end!  Also grind or rasp the ends of the caps straight before mounting them back on.

Boscof,
Give me a call. I've done a couple of these and use my dermestid beetles to do the cleaning portion which includes removal of the horns. If your looking for a full cleaning, degreasing, and whitening I can do that as well. Heres a pic of one I did a few months ago.

Your Hired! I will give you call Tuesday morning to make arrangements and plan on seeing you on Thursday mid day or afternoon to drop off the skull.

I don't always shoot big mule deer, but when I do, it's with a bow tech!
