Yep stick and string and the rifle somewhere in camp.  I counted 10 drops this morning in Yakima, so maybe, just maybe the mountain will be white by tomorrow morning.  Yeah you turkeys, I looked all fall for a bull that would beat your guys' and no deal.  I guess it will take a big Muley. LOL  Might be my first Booner Mule deer.  That would be cool.  If its 180 or trashy, it will probaby die.  Scouting reports have been pretty dismal, but I have a few days to put it together.

I thought the trophy was a given for you this year Bone, but you have stiff competition.  But, as we all know here, if anyone can pull it off, you can.  Cannot wait to hear your report back and see the many pics you always thrill us with.

Thanks Scott, by the way, got something in the mail.  Thanks for getting them to me.  I hope they glass up a big one.  Its all fun.  Mostyl what I am looking forward to is being out there when 10,000 others are not, and instead of just carrying a camera, being able to actually hunt.  I hope that doesn't change what I normally see.

Wow.  Glad you got them before you left.  I was worried.  Sorry I did not get them all cleaned up for you, but when I realized the timing and that we had a mix-up I shipped them immediately.

They will certainly bring them close up in the eye pieces, the rest is up to you.  Hope they bring you more success than they did me!

From how I understand the competition, you will have won the trophy once you submit that darn thing. Am I right? If so when are you submitting that bull?

I wouldn't hand him the trophy quite yet, word has it there may be a little competition left out there ;)

Looking pretty sparse out here.  Not much for deer yet, fingers crossed for some weather, or I guess I will go after them.  Deer are starting to move.  Saw a 24inch 4 point coming over Blewitt at 2 in the afternoon and then 2 bucks right at dark here.  One was pushing a couple does.  SO it is starting.  I went throught he canyon and got one ram that wasn't a mile away.  Lots of them out there a ways.  Swung through the Swakane but didn't see any.  Scored a couple hawk and eagle pics I'll share with you all later.  Hopefully by this time tomorrow I will be posting some big ones I turned down.

I stare up at this critter on the wall everynight and dream when I get to go on a hunt like this.  I'm not sure if all of you Dads know how cool it is to have critters on the wall for teir kids.  Dad says that him staring up at Idabooners (gramps) moose horns everyday is what made him wnat to go moose hunting so much.  I believe him.

Glad to see this thread get resurrected.  What an awesome buck!

Well, that there would be a mistake. :chuckle:   Goes to show how many times you stare at it, add it, subtract it, even the "pros" make an error.  Its amazing how many hundreds of people have stared at that and you were the first to pick it up.
