Eastern WA Crappie jigs?
« on: October 05, 2017, 09:17:33 PM »
What do you fellas use for Crappie in eastern WA? I want to take the grandkids fishing - need some guaranteed action. Will be at Roses and Wapato lakes near Chelan. Colors? Jig sizes? Thanks in advance!

We always used a white feather jig with a pink head, but that was in the Spring and WI.

Go-to jig for years at Potholes was a standard Mini-jig. Basically a 1/32 oz. head with a tube skirt in red/white, green/white, black/white and/or other colors.

I've started using trout magnets over the last few years and they are now my go to crappie jig.  Yellow has been my most productive color, but pink has done well for me also.  Most of the time if there are crappie present, the bobber is going down within 5 seconds of hitting the water.
