Road Kill Beaver
« on: March 02, 2009, 09:43:31 AM »
There was a large dead beaver in the road this morning, it must have been hit last night. I do not have a trappers licence or any experience with beavers, what are my options? I would like to have the fur and the skin from the tail to use for some kind of project but have no Idea how to proceed. I have very little recent experience skinning anything (a few deer and elk) and wouldn't want to mess it up. I also have no way to get it tanned, unless it is legal to keep w/o trappers licence (?) Anybody got some advice for me or can help, or should I just leave it alone? :dunno:

I was hoping one of the guys on here with experience would advise me. I picked it up (before someone else did) and now its in the back of my truck so I am committed into doing something with it.
