Plenty of Chukar and Huns today!  Dog averaged  just over a covey per hour. Large coveys too.

Was in your neck of the woods today. Great conditions eh!  You see any Huns?  We hit a huge covey...

I went out this afternoon with my labs, yellow is 1 year old and he did great! The black is his mom, and she is sure something to watch! We limited out in no time, and they even put a nice rooster up in front of me that I had to watch fly off. They looked at me in confusion lol.

The wind was pretty bad Saturday  :yike:. The boy and I didn't see anything, except a herd of deer.

The wife and I hunted the Swanson Lakes WA on Sunday. I love the Big Sky/Empty feel of the area and try to get up there several times a season. No Huns or quail seen or shot, but I guess at 65; I don't go hunting just for birds anymore. We did hear a couple of shots and for that area saw more vehicles pulled off than usual.

Unfortunately, my Springer got into the nasty burrs. However, Tanglefree Hair & Mane  spray is a WONDER and with it; the burrs came right out and a pre-walk/hunt spraying works even better at burr prevention.

Bad news... At 8 years of age, Walter The Wonder Dog tires rather easily these days. I see more short, local hunts in the future.

Hunted chukar Sat and got skunked, heard them laughing on top of a 100' cliff face. I'll be back next weekend for revenge. Got Some dove though. Shot 5 quail Sunday, took a buddy who is new to upland with a new pup. He got his first quail over his 7 mo. wpg

18 chukars and two huns for my friends and I today. Not too bad for not having a dog. Can't wait to get a GSP!

Just as a heads up, saw a ton of snakes yesterday.
